I wish you the best for 2022 with all my heart.
Joy, health and little treats!
Love, success and happiness!
Connection, laughter and magic!
I wish it all for you.
Now, I know you are going to be very cautious setting goals this year; you might even be thinking that there is not much point doing it at this point. Or you might feel like I do, eager to make each moment count and aware that without goals, you will just carry on the way things are. As you know, you are more likely to achieve your goals/dreams when you write them down yet most people don't or do it then lose sight of their list, often quite literally. Whatever 2022 end up looking like,
you can always make changes that will impact your life, enhance the quality of your life and help you navigate these choppy waters.
Today, I invite you to think about the changes you want to see in your life by the end of 2022. I use the term changes rather than goals because reaching goals is the result of making changes. By focusing on changes, we are already making it concrete and obtainable. Because of the pandemic, we have never had a better idea of what we wanted and what we didn't want than now.   Â
-
What changes do you want to see? Consider all relevant areas of your life: home, money, personal relationships, physical and mental wellbeing, creativity/hobby, spirituality, family, work, etc.
-
What do these changes look like in concrete terms?
-
What do you need to do to make them happen? Think of what you can do now.
-
What do you need to believe to make it happen?
Keep this list of changes handy so that you can check it every time you plan your week throughout the year. Update it as needed. This could make all the difference this year.Â
Please, keep overwhelm at bay by keeping it as simple as you want. It is ok to focus on just one month at a time. This is not about setting goals as much as deciding what we can do to serve ourselves best. Itâs not about others, itâs about us and what we need to live well.Â
Mini goals and big goals have their place too. I created a Goodreads account and set myself the goal of reading 30 books and audiobooks in 2020 and I read 40. I donât think I would have read so much, had I not set myself the challenge, so I did it again this year and I read 62 books and audiobooks. Goals give you a clear direction, like setting the GPS before going on a long journey. You wouldnât just sit in the car and set off without knowing where you were going.
You could make it visual by creating a dream board that features the elements of your vision, of the changes you want to make. It could be fun to do at the very least!
